Antique majolica plate – raised strawberry decoration – gilding

Very pretty antique barbotine plate decorated with strawberries and foliage in relief. A particularly decorative model, with beautiful shades of green and red, enhanced by fine golden highlights. The gilding is still well-preserved, especially on the veins and contours of the decoration, which is quite uncommon for this type of antique plate. A lovely piece to use as wall decoration, in a kitchen, or to integrate into a collection of antique barbotines. Very good overall condition considering its age. No major chips or cracks. Some small signs of use and nicks around the edge, as well as slight wear to the gilding. Old crazing of the glaze is visible in places.
