The spirit of the countryside and raw authenticity emanate from this vintage 1950s stool made of wood and woven straw. Evoking brutalist furniture and artisanal design from holiday homes, it stands out with a robust solid wood base, polished by the years, connected by a double row of footrest rungs. Its straw seat, beautifully preserved, reveals a traditional checkerboard weaving of charming regularity framed by the exposed heads of the raw wood uprights. From the 1950s, this vintage seat remains in good condition. Note the presence of holes on some legs. The stool remains solid and stable. The weaving is perfectly taut, healthy, and sturdy; the wooden structure is sound and very stable. An exemplary nomadic piece, it will find its place anywhere: as extra seating around a farmhouse table, at the end of a sofa for magazines, or even as a unique bedside table in a bedroom with a bohemian and natural atmosphere.
