We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely set of six original folding steamer chairs in English oak from around 1900-1920. A very aesthetic, well-crafted, and decorative set of folding chairs with a beautiful warm and rich wood patina and a lovely grain. The chairs fold with one hand and function as new, testament to excellent craftsmanship. Standing dimensions Height: 79.5 cm, Width: 46.5 cm, Depth: 49.5 cm, Seat height: 45.5 cm. Folded dimensions Height: 88 cm, Width: 46.5 cm, Depth: 5.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Pulborough. Condition: Please see the very detailed photos that are part of the condition description. Please note that vintage and original items like leather seats will always have a natural patina in the form of creases and wear. It is recommended to wax annually to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to avoid drying out and discolouration.
