Orientalist painting: “Street Scenes” by René Martin

I am selling this watercolor framed under glass representing a pottery merchant. Of Swiss origin. Orientalist, student of Gleyre. Student of Henri Martin and Léon Bonnat in Paris, René Martin exhibited in various Parisian salons. He exhibited in Zurich from 1913. He stayed in Marrakech from 1925 to 1940 and collaborated with the illustration and the illustrated Moroccan life. His painting has an essentially ethnographic vocation.
