Large chinese porcelain cone vase decorated with a court hunting scene depicting three men on horseback, one of them holding a hunting horn, the pack of dogs running at the foot of the horses. In the background, a city, probably flemish since we see a belfry, a church and a very large building, probably a palace or a town hall. Both ends of the vase are decorated with gilded rinceaux on a cobalt blue background. The bottom of the vase is marked with a red seal. The work is well done and cared for. Beautiful dimensions for this magnificent vase. The blue color as well as the gold give it an elegant and sophisticated character. It is ideal for flowers with large stems. Very decorative. This type of vase was intended for export to europe. China nineteenth century.
