Old Berber vase in painted terracotta

Superb old berber vase (30s or 40s). The beautiful patterns are hand painted on the terracotta. Warning: the paint can go away if you pass the vase under water (which explains why the patterns are partially erased) because the patterns are painted only, it is not a glaze fired with clay. This partially erased aspect is typical of ancient berber vases. To clean the vase, I recommend that you only dust it. Very good state of conservation by the way: there is just a very discreet shine at the base, which I tried to render at best on the last two photos. Weight: 1.2 kg.
