Original bukhara carpet from the 1930s from the city of bukhara in uzbekistan (formerly known as turkmenistan). The city is located on the legendary silk road, which makes the carpets a coveted collector’s item. Good condition with slight signs of usage. Width 370 cm. Depth 228 cm. All of our carpets are cleaned in a professional carpet laundry. The first step in cleaning is to tap the carpet thoroughly to remove dust and any mites. The subsequent prewash with a ph-neutral soap removes stains. For the main wash, the carpets are thoroughly washed by hand – a special soap protects the fibers and preserves the natural wool fat of the carpets. The first dewatering takes place by means of mechanical pressing and spinning, so that the carpets are then dried in a constant air circulation.
