Bauhaus tubular steel armchair from Mücke Melder, 1930s

Mücke-Melder hails from a weighty midcentury conglomerate of Czech modernist manufacturers—including TON (the Czech wing of Thonet), UP Závody, and the like—whose furniture ranges revolutionized Czech 20th-century interior design. Armchair is reupholstered with new Kolovrat Fabric (Viena 1910/907), Seating renewed, Wooden parts restored.
