"Oyster" wall light by Rolf Krüger for Staff Leuchten, 1968

German work, 1968. H 62 X W 62 X D 14 cm. White lacquered metal and copper cross. Good condition. Sculptural wall panel composed of three interlocking metal elements, with a raised copper cross on a white lacquered background, four sockets concealed behind the structure. Designed by Rolf Krüger for the German publisher Staff Leuchten, this wall light blurs the boundary between a light fixture and a wall object: it functions both when lit and unlit. Four pieces available, allowing for individual or grouped hanging on the same wall.
