Eclipse Chrome Floor Lamp Mid-Century Space 1960s

Vintage design. Impressive Space Age pendant light with complex reflectors. The light fixture would be sold by the Dutch manufacturer Raak, although there is no reliable evidence. The design is based on the principle of an eclipse, with movable reflective shells that protect the light source and control the lighting effect. The two half-shells are movable and rotate around a fixed ring with a reflective chrome surface for additional reflections and light effects. The lamp consists of a spherical shape at the lower end of a long stem made up of two tubes inserted into each other, with an adjustable length via a suspended spiral cable. The ceiling and stem are finished in chrome. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The electrical components have been professionally replaced. The dimensions are height 125-160 cm, width 35.5 cm, and depth 27 cm.
