Black painted metal and glass pendant light, Italy, 1960s This sculptural Italian pendant light from the 1960s is designed in the style of Sergio Mazza and reflects the refined industrial elegance associated with his work. The design is heavily layered, built around the contrast between brushed metal, black metal, and glass, giving the lamp depth and a sharp architectural presence. The pendant consists of an upper ribbed glass diffuser combined with a slightly frosted lower glass dome. When lit, the ribbed glass creates a warm, textured glow, while the lower part diffuses light evenly. These glass elements are framed by brushed metal rings, interrupted by a band of black metal that adds a graphic, almost technical accent to the composition. Small metal pins secure the glass components and highlight the constructive clarity of the lamp. The pendant consists of a black cylindrical ceiling element, a brass ring detail, and a twisted cable, adding another layer of material without overpowering the design. The glass and metal components have been carefully cleaned, and the metal parts slightly polished, while preserving their original finish and character. A well-balanced pendant with a sober industrial language, suitable for contemporary as well as mid-century interiors. Dimensions Height: 70 cm
