Butter dish covered in white faience with a painted decoration in shades of blue, signed underneath "Elisabeth Ste Collection" SIA Collection. The shape is rectangular with rounded corners, featuring a scalloped edge characteristic of traditional decorative faience. The floral decoration, hand-painted, takes inspiration from the classic Dutch porcelain motif (in the spirit of the famous "Delft carnation" pattern): large blooming flowers, stylised foliage, and scrolls running across the body of the dish as well as the lid. An ideal piece for a table set in a country-chic style, or for storing some jewellery. Condition: Good overall condition.
