Lorraine chair in wood, 18th century. Made of solid wood, assembled with dowels. In good condition, although some signs of use (or age) can be observed under the feet (see photo), as well as a repair (a nailed pad, see photo). One can easily imagine this chair in use perhaps on a cold and damp farmhouse floor! The whole is now sound and usable without prior restoration; decorative and simply pretty, it is easy to place for a lamp, a plant... The square backrest resembles a frame, and we can envision it in front of a mirror placed on the floor, playing with both the chair and its backrest as well as the reflections of the mirror!
