Modernist tray in wenge wood and black formica. Designed by henning seidelin in the late 1950s or early 1960s, it was produced by voss in denmark at the time. The tray recalls the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic found in finn juhl's lazy susan and henning koppel's wooden designs. Henning seidelin (1904-1987) was a danish artist and designer who first gained fame as a sculptor, particularly for his realistic porcelain figures. He later turned to industrial design, creating a diverse range of products including kitchenware, furniture and cookers. Seidelin is particularly well-known for his cutlery sets designed for the swedish brand gense.
