This timeless and minimalist dressing table that bears clear hallmarks of the bauhaus style was designed by the legendary czech designer jindrich halabala in 1935 and manufactured by up závody in brno. This elegant art deco mirror cabinet features sleek round drum-shaped cabinet in walnut veneer with a round glass insert shelf and the original white opaxite glass top along with a new faceted mirror mounted on the original wooden desk frame. The whole unit has been beautifully restored by a professional restorer and it is in a top condition. (will be adding more photos soon). This versatile cabinet with a swivel door could also be used as a small bar cabinet benefitting from its original inbuilt light and a small switch on the lower desk. Of the period: art deco. Style: bauhaus, czech modernism. Place of origin: czech republic. Date of manufacture: 1935, up zavody, brno. Period: 1930-1939. Materials and techniques: mirror, wood, plywood, walnut veneer. Condition: excellent. Wear: wear consistent with age and use. The mirror glass was damaged and therefore replaced by an exact replica. Dimensions: h 66.15 in. X w 42.52 in. X d 18.12 in. (height 168 cm X width 109 cm X depth 47 cm).
