There is something almost theatrical about this pair. Two floor lamps in metal, each with a sinuous, sculptural stem — a rounded bulbous form at the base tapering upward into a long, elegant neck, finished with gold-painted fittings and a square gold-painted plinth. The silhouette is somewhere between a chess piece and a Moorish finial, and it works completely.What makes the pair particularly interesting is that the two lamps are not identical in height — one stands noticeably taller than the other.
