Table: Last Cartridges in Butterfly Wings

A beautiful butterfly-shaped painting, a reinterpretation of Neuville's famous painting "The Last Cartridges," depicting the final stand of the French forces defending Emperor Napoleon III at Sedan. It was created in the Central African Republic, commissioned by a soldier of the RPIMa (Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment) stationed there. The RPIMa is a descendant of the Marine Infantry Regiment that fought at the famous Battle of Bazeilles. Height 35 cm, width 49.5 cm.
