Belgian coffee table in engraved brass and agate signed Christian Krekels

Very nice coffee table signed by the belgian designer christian krekels made in 1979. The top is very decorative, made of multiple rounded lines, entirely in engraved brass, with two inserts of agate stones. The top rests on a wooden base covered with brass also decorated and engraved. The rectangular top with finely engraved lines seems to float above the base. The technique used, typical of the work of belgian decorators of the 70s - 80s, is that of acid engraving, creating a unique pattern. It has been completely restored and repolished, and is in a superb state of conservation. A unique piece very decorative.
