Turquoise pearl cup by Pol Chambost (1906-1983)

In the theme of mother-of-pearl, this small leaf from Chambost is rarely seen. A delight in mother-of-pearl and a treat in turquoise. This artist began in the thirties in Ivry sur Seine. After the war, he oriented his production towards free forms, the must-have of which was the chalice vase... He succeeded in producing a whole range of shells and leaves with a rather astonishing mother-of-pearl decoration, of which this green and white leaf is a part.
