It was in 1768 that exploitable deposits of kaolin, an essential material for the production of this ceramic, were found, and it was from this discovery that Limoges porcelain was born and developed. In 1912, the Vignaud brothers, Gustave and Albert, took over a factory founded by Mr. Corret, a kaolin trader, was born in 1838. They transformed and exploited it together until 1938. After this date, Albert Vignaud remained alone until 1970, when it was bought by the Bernardaud porcelain company.
