Convertible sofa Anfibio designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti, Italy, 1970s. A true icon of Italian design from the 1970s, the Anfibio model, conceived by Alessandro Becchi and produced by Giovannetti, is renowned for its bold aesthetics and ingenious transformation system. With its generous and organic lines, it easily unfolds to provide a comfortable double bed. Including the enveloping belt, the mattress measures: 180 x 200 x 35 cm. Without it, the mattress measures: 140 x 125 x 35 cm. Fully dressed in a burgundy leather with a beautiful patina, this sofa charms with its sculptural character as much as its functionality. An emblematic piece of Italian design, it naturally finds its place in a contemporary interior as well as in a vintage furniture collection. The whole piece is presented in very good vintage condition. The leather has developed a harmonious patina, consistent with its age and use.
