The Marsala sofa is an iconic model designed by Michel Ducaroy, a French designer who led the design department of Ligne Roset for twenty-six years. Created in the 1960s-1970s, the Marsala is one of Ducaroy's first creations to utilise the innovative materials of the time, particularly thermoformed plexiglass, which forms the characteristic shell of the model. An iconic piece of French design, it is no longer in production today. This example has undergone careful renovation: its original covering has been replaced with a fine boucle anti-stain fabric in beige, offering a contemporary and warm interpretation of this design classic, without altering its lines or spirit. The cushion filling has also been renovated. The plexiglass shell is in very good overall condition, showing the typical signs of use for a piece from this era (slight marks and patina characteristic of an authentic vintage object), without compromising its sturdiness. Dimensions: H: 79 cm, W: 157 cm, D: 110 cm, Seat height: 37 cm. In the same set, we have a 3-seater sofa, a footrest, and two armchairs, all renovated in the same fabric.
