Description
Pair of large sconces from the napoleon III period (1848-1870). The wall lights were formerly gas, the taps are still present but not functional. Bronze construction. Gilding in very good condition but with a beautiful shine. The wall part is decorated with acanthus leaves. The arm of light is richly decorated and openwork with friezes, scrolls, acanthus leaves, flowers and a griffin's head. The sconces can be pivoted using the wall bracket. Flame decorated tulips, in glass, signed sèvres (see photo with the blue circle). They are not original. Very good state; note, a small chip on the collar (see last photo). Electricity installed and tested, new wires. Sold with 2 adapters for e14 bulb (original sockets: b22).
