Diabolo vase in glazed terracotta, polychrome decoration hand-painted by Roger Capron around 1955. Handwritten signature "CAPRON VALLAURIS" and model number "M44" under the base. The vase features a pure architectural shape, with a geometric decoration composed of quadrangular reserves defined by a black mesh. The glazes vary between opaque white, saffron yellow, bright orange, deep black, and a remarkable speckled blue and white glaze with a crystallised effect. The interior is fully glazed in shiny white. This model illustrates the revival of French ceramics after the war and is part of Capron's iconic creations in Vallauris.
