Superb old sanguine signed c. Despiau. Nude woman seated. Charles Despiau, French sculptor, was born on 4 November 1874 in Mont-de-Marsan and died on 28 October 1946 in Paris. Drawing in sanguine on cream paper, framed and under glass, signed on the right in the centre. The back is removable, allowing for verification of the drawing's authenticity and the signature. The wooden frame is in generally good condition. Dimensions: 34.5 cm x 27 cm (with frame) Drawing only: 30 cm x 23 cm. Weight: 0.6 kg. Very careful shipping.
