This sublime dampierre vase in art deco style is a work by marc lalique (1900-1977). This flared vase is decorated with delightful birds in a frieze, molded in relief and etched with acid. They are curious sparrows looking in different directions. It is a dreamlike vase with an adorable spring subject and perfect execution. This dampierre model was created in 1948 by marc lalique and is signed with the pontil "lalique france". This vase is currently produced again by maison lalique and sold new for 820 euros. It measures 12 cm in height X 11 cm in diameter. I note scratches from use.
