Buffet two bodies of hunting style Henri II in carved solid oak, France, late 19th century. The lower body is curved and opens with two drawers and two doors with high relief carved panels of hunting trophies, hares, birds, and suspended fish, on rounded sides; the upper body is recessed with two glazed doors framed by carved game supports, flanked by scroll consoles forming shelves, with a cornice featuring a leaf frieze. Dark patina oak, glass present, complete sculptures, lower body top with signs of use and an old repair. An imposing piece for a dining room, in the spirit of the grand houses of the Second Empire.
