Vintage vase by Josef Hospodka 1960

Bohemian, heavy art glass vase designed by josef hospodka for chribska glassworks. The vase was made in czechoslovakia in the 1960s and its pattern is also known as "cat's head". Hospodka was born in svihov and studied at the national school of graphic arts in prague from 1938 to 1940. During the second world war, he became a student of prof. J holocek at the academy of arts from 1940 to 1945. He then became a professor at the glass school in novy bor, where he headed the section of glass cutting techniques.
