This small oak desk, made in the second half of the 19th century, elegantly reflects the lines of the Louis XIV style. Its rectangular top, bordered by a reversed quarter round, rests on four turned legs connected by an H-shaped stretcher, providing both stability and elegance. The solid oak, with its warm patina, reveals a harmonious grain and a beautiful depth of tone. The table features a discreet and functional central drawer, adorned with its original knob. Its balanced proportions make it an easy piece to integrate, whether as a small desk, side table, or refined console. The overall design exudes a sober and classic presence, typical of the reinterpretations of the Grand Siècle made in the 19th century. An authentic and decorative piece, it immediately adds a touch of history and character to any interior, whether traditional or contemporary. Period: 2nd half of the 19th century.
