Butterfly chair 3107 by Arne Jacobsen edition Fritz Hansen, 1960

Original version of the iconic chair number 3107 Arne Jacobsen. It consists of four feet of chrome steel supporting a single-part moulded wooden plywood hull. The dark walnut wood used in Danish production from the 1950s to 1960s is of exceptional quality. The tips of the feet end with rubber skates. His back is bent at the waist. The feet are chromed. This is the very rare and original pilot version, created in 1955 by arne Jacobsen, a few years before the production of the publisher fritz hansen. The cache below the seat is made of metal (anterior to the plastic cache, more common). Iconic danish design pieces for a dining room, entrance or bedroom. The wood and structure are in very good condition. Some signs of age-related wear.
