Remarkable pair of hand-blown art glass vases, model "Oxid", designed by Bo Borgström for Åseda Glasbruk, Sweden. These sculptural vases stand out for their rich material contrast and their bold yet understated shape, characteristic of mid-20th century Swedish glass design. Each vase features a deep cobalt blue core, accented with darker blue spots, encased in a layer of clear crystal. The Sommerso technique creates exceptional depth and luminosity, allowing the colour to appear suspended in the glass. Imposing yet elegantly minimalist, the vases possess a refined presence that works perfectly as a pair or as strong sculptural elements in an interior. Both vases are in excellent vintage condition.
