Curved travel trunk, Second Empire

Antique travel trunk made of coated canvas, leather, wood, and wicker covered with fabric from the Napoleon III - Second Empire period. A trunk that could have been found on the Titanic, and undoubtedly on the finest liners of the time. Inside, there are three levels: the bottom of the trunk and two shelves made of wicker baskets covered with fabric. The trunk bears the marks of time. While the overall condition is more than acceptable, there is a section on the side of the lid that shows signs of wear (see photo), one of the side leather handles is detached and needs to be reattached (but the leather is in perfect condition), the entire canvas, leather, and wood are in very good condition, and this trunk has a very beautiful appearance. Two locks without keys. A light restoration will restore its former glory, but it still makes a majestic decoration evoking travel, luxury cruises, and the late 19th to early 20th centuries.
