This rare conical pendant lamp "Luzette" is a hallmark of early 20th-century industrial design. Designed by visionary architect and designer Peter Behrens for Siemens & Schuckert around 1910-1920, this light fixture represents a bridge between Art Nouveau and the functionalism of the Bauhaus movement. The lamp features a two-part glass shade: a conical top made of white opaline glass designed to diffuse light upwards and outwards, connected by an elegant metal ring to a lower glass bowl that provides soft, direct illumination. The minimalist hardware and elegant geometry make it a versatile piece that fits well in both period interiors and contemporary settings. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The glass shows no cracks or significant chips. The metal elements exhibit a beautiful patina appropriate for its age. Provenance: Austrian Parliament, acquired from a former employee. Specifications: Designer: Peter Behrens. Manufacturer: Siemens & Schuckert. Origin: Germany. Period: 1910-1920. Style: Industrial / Bauhaus / Art Deco. Important note on wiring: The fixture is currently equipped with its original European wiring. For international buyers, particularly in North America, we offer a professional rewiring service to meet American electrical standards (UL-compliant components) upon request before shipping.
