Superb and authentic large catch-all (or geode ashtray) made of solid Murano glass, created using the famous Sommerso technique (submerged glass). An iconic design piece from the Mid-Century Modern period (Italy, 1960s), most likely designed by the designer Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte. This model stands out for its beautiful harmony of colors: a deep turquoise blue heart enveloped in a brilliant and transparent amber glass mass. Handcrafted piece of exceptional density, blown and shaped by hand. The underside features a perfectly ground and polished pontil, a signature of the craftsmanship of Murano glass masters. Characteristics and dimensions: • Technique: Sommerso Glass (2 colors) • Weight: 1, 311 g (Large model, heavy and stable) • Condition: Very nice vintage condition. The glass retains all its brilliance and transparency. Slight micro-scratches from normal use under the base, attesting to its age. No major chips or cracks. A timeless graphic art piece, ideal for adding a touch of vintage elegance to a sideboard, coffee table, or desk. Carefully packaged and ultra-secure shipping with double protective wrapping.
