Mid-century pine sauna stool by Bertel Gardberg for Artek, 1950s.

An icon of Scandinavian design from Artek in the 1950s, designed by the designer and silversmith Bertel Gardberg for Villa Jouhki. This solid pine stool is a rare collector's item. Its rustic design, combining simplicity and functionality, is characterised by a classic shape with three splayed legs, traditionally assembled. The solid wood seat is heavily contoured and features a distinctive hole in the centre, serving as a functional handle and allowing moisture to drain.
