Napoleon III period painted side table / tray

Very refined hand-painted tray from the napoleon 3 period (late 19th century), when french craftsmanship shone brightly. It comes with a folding gilt metal base that allows it to be used as a coffee table, or side table, or coffee table next to your sofa. The colors are full of freshness with this sky blue surrounded by gilding and on which the flowers of the bouquet stand out. Blue, red, pink or orange, all respond to each other in a beautiful pictorial arabesque. The raised tops of the tray are openwork and the edges are gilded. The underside is made of felt to allow it to be placed on a piece of furniture for example without scratching it. Some cracks in the varnish, but not very bothersome, traces of wear but no defects such as missing or denting. There are some missing gilding on the foot but once again, this is quite secondary and this tray - table is in very good general condition and ready to use... An unusual piece. Diameter: 50 cm.
