Bay Keramik handle vase 691-17, West Germany

Vintage ceramic handled vase, made by Bay Keramik in West Germany. The impressed marking under the base indicates "BAY W.-GERMANY 691-17". The vase features a bulging, faceted silhouette, extended by a slightly tapered neck and a decorative handle. Its light beige speckled glaze is adorned with a pattern in brown tones, reminiscent of feathers or fern leaves. The rim and base are highlighted with a dark brown glaze, while the interior has a deep glossy glaze in blue-black shades. Overall very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks noted. Slight irregularities and signs of wear on the glaze can be observed on the rim, in line with the age and manufacture of the piece. The two pieces make a lovely decorative set but are offered separately. This ceramic will easily find its place in a vintage, Mid-Century Modern, or bohemian interior, either alone on a shelf or paired with other West German ceramics. Height: 18 cm.
