DESCRIPTION: Very impressive and decorative French neo-renaissance chandelier / hall lamp from around 1890–1910. This monumental hanging lamp has a beautiful rich appearance with heavy grotesque greenman heads, elegant acanthus ornaments and a large hammered bowl-shaped body. The chandelier has space for 6 candles or lamps. The lamp is made of copper and brass with cast decorative elements in gilded spelter/zinc alloy, all finished in a warm old patina that perfectly matches the historical look of the piece. The design is strongly inspired by the French Henri II / renaissance revival style that was widely used in luxury mansions, hotels, monasteries and representative buildings at the end of the 19th century. Especially the expressive greenman heads and the monumental proportions give this lamp an exceptional character. Beautiful decorative object for a classic interior, historic building, hospitality, boutique hotel or eclectic modern interior. Also very suitable to be re-electrified; for an additional fee it can be wired for you. DIMENSIONS: Total height: 100 cm. Height without chain: 40 cm. Diameter: 60 cm. Candle diameter: 2.5 cm. Condition, in general good condition, the light can be wired on reques. Chain has one damage, some patina an scratches visible. (see last pictures to have a better idea of te state).
