Brass or bronze andirons

These two very beautiful andirons will enhance the hearth of your fireplace! Their slender design with charming curves, and their golden bronze color patinated by time give them finesse and elegance. The easel is made of thick, heavy and solid iron (cast iron?), the andiron head (decorative vertical part at the front) is probably made of brass (or bronze?), the movable ring is of a burnished color. I used a little iron wool to remove some stains from the brass, but without insisting on leaving it with its pretty old patina. It's up to you if you want to rub it more to regain the original shine or if you prefer this pretty patina of the years. They must date from the 50s to the 70s. They are in good general condition, solid and stable but do not hide some signs of their age: the cast iron shows surface corrosion and stains and marks which testify to use in a household fireplace, the andiron heads have some small marks and stains. The two parts of each andiron are assembled by a nut, I will perhaps dismantle them to facilitate and secure shipping, all you will need is pliers or a 11 wrench to tighten the nut (by hand it is possible also, but it will be more difficult to tighten the nut well). They measure 42cm in height (ring facing up), 15cm in width, 40cm in depth. The whole thing weighs around 4kg.
