Regency Antique 1815 Occasional Chair in Ebonised Wood, Mother of Pearl, Silk and Chesterfield Upholstered Seat

We are delighted to offer for sale this super rare, original accent chair, dating from around 1810-1820. Hand-painted, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, featuring a unique silk tufted Chesterfield seat. This decorative chair is well-made and stands out with its silk tufted seat cushion, a rare detail compared to the usual bergère or rattan seats. The condition is consistent with its age, showing some light signs of patina related to age and use, which is normal for a piece of furniture over 200 years old. Dimensions (at the widest point): Height 84 cm, Width 43 cm, Depth 48.5 cm. The chair shows minor signs of wear such as slight fading. The very detailed photos are an integral part of the condition description. Vintage items naturally exhibit patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. It is recommended to regularly apply wax to prevent moisture loss. The hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods to avoid drying and discolouration.
