Teak coffee table. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Scandinavian coffee table produced during the 1960s. The top is set within a slender perimeter frame that contains the surface like a shallow tray. The gently raised edge follows the outline of the table in one continuous line, flowing seamlessly around the corners and defining a crisp yet understated silhouette. Beneath the top, the apron is set back from the outer edge, leaving the square-section legs fully visible as they join the structure with clean continuity. The construction is stripped of unnecessary elements: the precision of the joinery, the uninterrupted surfaces and the carefully proportioned thicknesses give the table its character, relying solely on the quality of the teak craftsmanship.
