Excellent Dutch mirror in Baroque style with a spectacular rectangular frame made of ebony wood, intricately carved with wavy moldings. The craze for this type of mirror began in the 17th century, but they continued to be made until the 19th century. They became very popular throughout Europe, and many countries adopted this style. They are characterized by parallel strips, usually of different widths and heights or reliefs, alternating smooth parts with others featuring various sculptures. The most characteristic is the "wavy" design, small waves reminiscent of wickerwork, which become complex details of great visual interest. In the center of the frame, a rectangular mirror plate reflects light and creates a sense of space. It shows slight signs of aging, which only enhance its authenticity and character. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of this piece, showcasing the skill and artistry of Dutch artisans.
