Beautiful French Art Nouveau 6-Light Bronze 3 sided Crystal Cage Chandelier. The upper section is formed as a distinctive three-sided decorative cage, centred with an elegant acorn finial suspending a sparkling crystal droplet. Flowing from the ornate central body, six beautifully cast scrolling arms are enriched with acanthus leaf detailing and terminate in delicately shaped leaf-form candle drip holders, creating a wonderfully balanced and organic design typical of the Art Nouveau period. The chandelier is adorned with an assortment of hanging crystals that catch and reflect the light beautifully, while a clear glass ball suspended from the lower finial provides the perfect finishing touch, adding further sparkle and sophistication. The chandelier is suspended from its original nine-link chain and decorative ceiling fitter, allowing it to hang gracefully in a hallway, dining room, living room, or bedroom. A truly elegant French antique chandelier that combines the flowing natural forms of the Art Nouveau movement with beautiful crystal decoration, making it a wonderful statement piece for any interior.The chandelier has French twin core braided wiring and takes 6 bulbs small screw in type E14s. Presented in good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its years, with some verdigris and cleaning residue.The candle drip holders show some age-related marks and wear, adding to the authentic character and charm of this beautiful antique piece. The faceted crystals are in good overall condition with no cracks, showing only minor nibbling to some edges consistent with age. We take great care in packing our crystal chandelier but on occasion some my work loose and it is down to you to rehang them which is usually a simple process.
