Salins shuttle dish – “Montreal” yellow & black decor – 1950s

Charming fine earthenware dish from the Salins-les-Bains factory, decorated with the "Montreal" motif in a mustard yellow and black version full of pep. This model from the 50s and 60s, inspired by household linen patterns, is part of the so-called tea towel series, typical of the graphic aesthetic of the time. Its elongated, very elegant and tapered navette shape gives it a resolutely vintage look. Perfect for a retro table, to present olives, lemon slices or as a simple decorative object in a kitchen with mid-century charm. Salins France stamp on the back, with mention of the "Montreal yellow" motif: the Salins-les-Bains earthenware factory, founded in the 19th century in the Jura region, distinguished itself in the 1950s with its bold and colorful creations, which became emblematic of post-war French design.
