Original Pierre Jeanneret PJ-BU-02-A Pigeonhole Desk, Mid-Century Modern

This iconic PJ-BU-02-A desk / Teak Icon was created by the legendary designer Pierre Jeanneret. Featuring a dark brown leather top, a single drawer, and open pigeonhole shelves. Jeanneret was commissioned by the city of Chandigarh, India, to build and design the administrative buildings of Panjab University and several private residences, produced between approximately 1952 and 1957. This item has been renovated, with minor wear due to age and use. Provenance: Sourced from gallery Fiftiesdesign in Brest, who imported the furniture from India in 1999. Bought by photographer Kalle Gustafsson / Galerie Maison Première. The collection has been examined by renowned swedish furniture conservator and restorator Jon Bjellerup and Ulf Brunne.
