Pair of Neoclassical Patinated Bronze Wall Sconces with Three Light Arms

Each sconce is organized around a round wall plate in patinated bronze, chiseled with radiating flutes and decorative friezes, from which three twisted light arms adorned with encasing acanthus leaves emerge. The arms end in molded cups and sockets designed to hold faux candles, creating a balanced luminous fan. The vocabulary of flutes, twists, and acanthus leaves belongs to the neoclassical repertoire, here interpreted by French bronze workers of the 1950s in a dark silver patina with tin reflections that gives the pair a sober and refined presence, less expected than traditional gold. Condition report: Overall good condition. Bronze with a homogeneous dark patina, sharp chiseling, candle holders in place. Electricity checked by an electrician. An elegant pair to frame a mirror, a fireplace, or enliven the walls of a hallway.
