Description
Typewriter from the company olivetti. The lexikon 80 was designed by marcello nizzoli and designed by giuseppe beccio in italy in 1948-1949. Marcello nizzoli designs a very plastic coating and an aesthetically continuous shape that is highlighted by curves and rounded lines. It is the first olivetti product exhibited in the permanent collection of the museum of modern art in new york, it is a milestone in the international history of design. Its production stopped in 1959. This typewriter, because of its longevity, has some shortcomings: the e key, the wear of the paint on the corners or the "hispano olivetti" plate on the paper support. It works. It represents a part of the history of italian design and it is through this work that I invite you to discover it.
