Liturgical stall in solid oak nineteenth century

Superb nineteenth century church stall and its mercy. Liturgical stall in carved solid oak. Furniture pegged that testifies to a beautiful craftsmanship. In religious furnishings, mercy is a small movable seat placed under the seat of a church stall. When the seat is raised, it represents a kind of small support in the shape of a cul-de-lampe on which one can sit while appearing to stand. This is called mercy or patience.
