Ceramic plate

Decorative ceramic plate in the shape of a fish, a handcrafted piece with strong sculptural character, typical of productions from the 1960s–70s. The relief decoration features a stylised fish with incised and hand-enameled scales, alternating deep brown and nuanced green tones on a speckled sand background. The volumes are deliberately accentuated—fins, contours, eye—giving the whole piece a brutalist and naturalistic aesthetic, very decorative. The ceramic is thick and expressive, with a slightly glossy glaze that captures the light. The reverse is glazed and bears an incised signature “HS,” attesting to workshop craftsmanship and artisanal production. This piece is ideal as a catch-all, as a decorative object on a piece of furniture, or displayed as a wall plate. In very good overall condition.
