Hans Wegner Dining room set chair model CH37 made by Carl Hansen & Søn The CH37 dining room chair by Hans J. Wegner is made with great attention to every detail in a simple and functional design. Because this set is always together, it has the same color and we do not sell these chairs separately. These chairs are made of oak. This 1962 design demonstrates the influence that American Shaker furniture principles and craftsmanship had on Wegner's work. These chairs are from the 1960s and have signs of wear. The legs of the CH37 taper towards the ground as well as slightly upwards at the rear legs, creating an elegant appearance. The backrest is significantly more curved at the top than at the bottom to optimize back support. The overall appearance is completed with the frame and chair hand-woven in durable material. This set of 4 chairs have the same color and were also purchased privately and have been with the same owner for years.
